In accordance with the requirements of the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Act), in May 2025, CHOICE lodged its annual public report with the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).
The report adds to national data on gender equality in the workplace, the aim of which is to achieve broadly equal opportunities and outcomes for women and men.

Some key findings from the 2024–25 report were:
- The average total remuneration gender pay gap is 12.2% and the median is 2.4%.
- The overall gender composition is 53% female and 47% male.
- The gender composition of CHOICE's non-management workforce is 53% female and 42% male.
- 49% of our management are female and 51% are male.

What is the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA)?
WGEA is an Australian Government statutory agency, established as per the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012. The Agency is charged with promoting and improving gender equality in Australian workplaces that employ 100 or more employees. It works collaboratively with employers, advising on practical tools and education to help improve gender performance.

Why does CHOICE undertake an annual WGEA audit?
As an employer of more than 100 employees, CHOICE is required to report to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency annually to help understand where CHOICE sits on a national scale, to identify where we can continue to improve, and to support our work on gender equality at CHOICE.
